I study, practice and teach the style of Yoga advocated by TKV Desikachar, widely known as Viniyoga. The essence of this approach is that Yoga practice should be tailored to meet individual needs and interests. I teach Yoga for well-being, fitness, relaxation and to support recovery from illness or injury.
My teaching style incorporates working with postures, breathing and reflective practice with close attention to the anatomy and quality of the breath to guide and support the body during movement and postures and to create a steady, reflective, focussed and meditative practice which treats the whole system holistically.
Classes are friendly, welcoming and accessible and ideal for beginners or experienced practitioners alike as well as those looking to reconnect with Yoga. Modifications are encouraged to ensure the practice of Yoga is relevant, safe and appropriate.
