
About Lisa Wells Yoga
I am a yoga teacher with a passion for women's health (fertility, pregnancy, birth and menopause), and supporting those living with trauma and PTSD.
I teach pregnancy yoga, incorporating my knowledge as a HypnoBirthing Educator into class. My mission is to provide mums to be with an opportunity to not only meet other women in the same situation as them, but also to ensure they feel physically, mentally and emotionally prepared for the exciting journey they are about to embark on. We incorporate movement, breathing techniques, yoga nidra and relaxing visualisations into class, leaving up to 20 minutes for tea and socialising. Classes are either 60 or 75 minutes long.
I also teach postnatal yoga, focused on mum but with baby involved. Again the aim is to introduce movement back to the body, to build strength, flexibility and connection and to provide a safe, calm place for mummy to socialise each week.
I offer 1:1 Trauma Informed Yoga classes to support those living with the impact of trauma to heal. I am also running a six week workshop called Nurturing the Nervous System in June 2022 which will focus on what trauma is and the impact it has on the brain and nervous system, as well as supporting individuals to map and understand their own nervous system and triggers, and to develop self-regulation techniques.
I am also a Reiki Practitioner and Reflexologist, specialising in fertility, pregnancy, menopause and hot stone reflexology.
All of my yoga classes and the holistic work that I do is trauma sensitive.
