About Nourysh Yoga

  • Karen MacDonald ( RYT200 YAP) is invested in safe sustainable ways of moving to ease away the stresses of modern living. She places particular emphasis on the breath and slow practice to unwind as well as building a strong flexible body. While focussing on the mind, body and soul she likes to keep things fun. You don’t need to be the right size, shape or fitness to share in the wisdom of yoga practice. All are welcome to explore both physical freedom and emotional peace in her  Hatha classes.

Karen qualified (RYT200) after an inspiring foundation course with The British Wheel of Yoga and then teacher training with Victoria Cunningham of stretchbodymind. She is registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals. She is also a Registered Dietitian available for one-to-one consultation or group sessions and presentations.

Karen is a fantastic teacher. Came to Karen when off unwell with stress, anxiety and depression. I also had poor balance and no core strength at all. After only 6 weeks of attending Karen’s class my health had really improved,physiotherapist signed me off and couldn’t believe the difference in my balance and core strength after falling down the stairs 18 months earlier. Can’t thank Karen enough for her teaching skills and the classes she provides to the very stressed NHS staff. All I can say is I’m back to work and I’m now in a much better place mentally ,physically.… Read more »

Location Information

With ongoing restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic all classes are being taught online via ZOOM:

Monday 8pm-9pm
Bedtime class: relaxing for a great night sleep, can be a bit more effortful but balanced with a long savasana. £5.00

Wednesday 9.45-10.45am
Chair Based Yoga for those with restricted abilities
£5.00

Wednesday 6.15-7.15pm NHS A&A staff are given priority and preferential price in this class. Email for details. (£5.00 all others)

Places must be booked, email initially, and paid by bank transfer in advance. A link to the class is emailed 12 hrs before class.

For 1:1 online session please email to book. You will be asked to complete a physical readiness questionnaire and waiver before commencing your initial session. I look forward to hearing from you. Email:
