Description:

YogaBellies for Pregnancy: Pregnancy Yoga Classes

We run YogaBellies Yoga for Pregnancy classes on Monday evenings at 6.30pm-7.45pm and on Tuesday evenings at 7.30-8.45pm. Classes take place at our own studio The Luna Centre at St James Retail Park, 8 St James Ave, G74 5QD.

How much does it cost and what does that include?

The 8 week block costs £89 which includes your free gift of access to your YogaBellies Pregnancy and Birthing 'e-pack' where you will receive fantastic week-by-week information about all things pregnancy and birth and also several downloads including our YogaBellies Deep Relaxation & Self Hypnosis for Childbirth. You will also receive a lovely YogaBellies canvas tote bag containing some local pregnancy services information. Please also like our Yogabellies East Kilbride Facebook page to keep up-to-date with all things yoga, women, pregnancy mum and baby!

What happens at the classes?

I keep the classes small so you will get lots of one-to-one attention and each week we cover a different topic such as bonding with baby, facing your fears of birthing, comfort during birthing or preparing for the big day. We also cover things like breathing techniques for labour and positions for labour too. The yoga postures are all suitable for pregnancy and will be adapted as per your trimester, and focus on building strength and stamina and keeping you flexible and fit.

When is it best to start?

I would recommend that you wait until you are at least 12 weeks pregnant before beginning any pre-natal yoga classes. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or have had any serious problems during pregnancy, please run this past your GP before starting the class and discuss with myself. Please don't worry if you have never done yoga before, most of the mums-to-be are trying it for the first time!

What do I need to bring?

All mats, blankets and equipment are provided, just bring yourself, a bottle of water and some loose comfortable clothes for your yoga practice.
