Seasonal Flow Yoga Classes by Chloe
Seasonal Yoga flow is a style of dynamic Yoga practice which is designed to align you with the changing energies of nature and the seasons. A practice that improves physical strength and flexibility and brings balance and harmony to your life. Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the belief that all humanity is part of the natural environment and that health or balance can only be achieved when one follows the natural law, adapting to the changes of the seasons and the surrounding environment. The theories of yin and yang, together with the notion of the five elements, were developed through ancient Chinese rituals of observing natures ever changing cycles. These five elements are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. These are related to the different seasons of the year and to organise in the human body.
Yoga is something that has always been in my blood. My love subliminally grew from an early age, as I sat at the back of classes while my mum carried out her teacher training. I began going to classes whenever I could find the time, fitting it around the busy schedule of a school girl. A few years on, after graduating from university, I took some time out to travel Australia. I found myself at a class in Byron Bay where my love for yoga blossomed. On returning home I enrolled in the Seasonal Yoga Teacher Training Course, of January 2016 to deepen that intimacy as I learned more about the philosophy and postures.
Coming from a sporting background and being a long distance runner, I mindfully target practice to challenge people of all ages and all levels of fitness by holding asanas to strengthen, stretch and open the body obtaining benefits both physically and mentally. I love the challenge of a high energy summer flow yoga class, but equally as passionate about allowing the body to restore in deep, hip opening, winter asanas.
