Rachael had been practising yoga for many years alongside a career in the Charity sector before training as a teacher of Vinyasa Flow, Pregnancy and Postnatal yoga and leaving the 9-5 routine behind. She predominantly teaches Flow with classes having an upbeat feel while also providing a chance to relax and unwind. Yoga doesn’t always have to be serious business!
Rachael welcomes all abilities and is very welcoming of newcomers. She wants to get people moving, to make time for themselves, and to learn to take a deep breath and step back from the day-to-day routine of everyday life.
Rachael was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in May 2016. Yoga had always played a very important part in her self-care routine and she continues to practice herself regularly alongside teaching.
Rachael believes that regular exercise and creating space both physically and mentally is key to keeping a positive outlook on life. This also means that having a somewhat 'invisible illness' she understands that everyone has their own personal struggles and their own reason for coming to yoga.
She welcomes anyone to give yoga a go and is happy to chat about individual needs or provide modifications.
