About yoga in clarendon park leicester
Kay has been studying yoga now for nearly 20 years, having practiced in various schools such as Sivananda, Bikram, Vinyasa and Scaravelli yoga. Kay trained to teach with Shanti Yoga school, Kay was drawn to their stripped back to its origins approach, with the focus on maintaining Asanas encouraging our bodies to return to a more childlike physicality, incorporating Pranayama for focus and meditation to steady and clear our minds.
Yoga asanas (poses), meditation and pranayama (breathing) have been practised for thousands of years and have given great benefits to hundreds of students along the way. Flexibility is an obvious benefit of hatha yoga practice, but the benefits of yoga are not only an increase in flexibility, strength and balance, but encourages a deeper connection to ourselves, bringing about a calmer and more peaceful mind.
one-to-one sessions
These sessions are available with Kay and will be planned around your own individual needs, they will include posture work, breathing & meditation depending on your requirements. Sessions can be held either at Feelgood Farm Anstey (see clinics page) or in your own home, An initial consultation is free and from this an individual practice of postures and breathing will be developed and taught; one that is appropriate for you. Things to consider will include general health, flexibility, and life circumstances.
Some people meet Kay for an hour a month; some once a week; a yoga program can be planned whatever your finances and commitments allow. At first, more frequent visits can get you off to a good start. The average is to meet every three weeks.
