We will touch on the meaning of yoga, the importance of breath, and the reasons why we do the postures.
You will begin to understand your body and make friends with it.
You will learn how to still your mind, and use your breath to relieve anxiety and tension. You will feel brighter and more alive, and you will find strength that you didn't know you had.
I started practising Yoga in 2008 and I was instantly hooked. I distinctly remember coming home from my first class feeling exhausted, exhilarated, relaxed, and at peace. Since then yoga has expanded to infiltrate every aspect of my life. It has helped me in a hundred ways, big and small. By learning to harness and control my breath, I have learnt to stay calm and centred when challenges arise. It has helped me build a better relationship with myself and my body through understanding it. It has improved my self awareness, which helps me to have better relationships with those around me. Physically it has given me more energy and stamina, improved my posture, and helped me to become more flexible. Yoga has helped me in so many more ways than I can fit on a page, and I want to be able to help you experience the same.
