I trained as a teacher at Mandala Yoga Ashram, Wales, under the tutelage of Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati. After completing my training I lived and taught yoga in France for 4 years. During this time I completed a yoga training programme exploring ways in using yoga as an effective therapeutic tool for those suffering with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and psychosis. This gave me a deeper understanding into the workings of the mind and further enhanced my ability to support and bring upliftment to students.
I returned to the Lincolnshire area in February 2016 and I currently teach regular weekly classes in yoga and meditation.
I guide practitioners through a wholesome form of Hatha Yoga inspired by the teachings and principles of both Swami Satyananda Saraswati and Swami Nishchalananada Saraswati. I also continue to be inspired by other teachers and regularly attend workshops and seminars which help to refine and increase my skills and understanding of this most profound discipline.
Classes i teach comprise of settling into stillness, limbering exercises, postures (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama) and guided relaxation / yoga nidra.
I am also a musician and like to work with sound and mantra and I am very drawn to the natural world and all that it bestows upon us.
