A holistic approach to health and happiness. If your in need of an invigorating Deep Tissue massage treatment, or are interested in starting or developing a yoga practice, you have come to the right place.
Hi, I’m Laurence. An experienced Yoga instructor and massage therapist currently based in Sudbury, Suffolk & Norwich, Norfolk. I teach Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga at the Chillout Yoga Studio in Long Melford, give guided Yoga Nidra meditations, and offer Indian Yoga Massage treatments from Zest Gym in Sudbury. I am available in Norwich for callout visits for massage treatments or private yoga lessons, and hope to have some new classes up and running there soon.
My focus is on relaxation, understanding, and play. It is my experience that a regular yoga and meditation practice can help develop your physical strength and flexibility, as well as improve concentration, reduce stress, and generally make you feel more confident and happy within your life. It is my passion to share these wonderful tools with anyone and everyone. The Deep Tissue Yoga Massage that I offer is a very relaxing and energizing treatment that utilises massage, yoga stretches, and breathwork to manipulate and relax your body. This releases muscular tension, reduces stress, will improve your overall flexibility, and leave you feeling like you’re on cloud nine.
I am available in Norwich for Private Lessons or Massage Treatments. Please contact me with any enquiries.
Why choose a private yoga lesson?
Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, I am happy to share my knowledge and experience in the physical practise of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga with you. I know how powerful and life changing developing a regular yoga practise can be and I hope to be able to encourage and motivate you to integrate this fantastic physical movement technique into your life. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about yoga and develop your own practise. I enjoy teaching public lessons though I have moved away from doing this as much as I used to so that I can focus my attention on private yoga lessons. I believe that personal tuition this is the best way to learn. Receiving one to one lessons is more rewarding and beneficial as you get complete attention and adjustment. This is especially useful for people who are coming to Yoga for medical or health reasons, as the classes will be tailored specifically to your condition and needs.
On your first lesson . .
In the first lesson we will sit and have a chat about what it is your expecting and what you would like to get from your yoga practice. It is important for me to understand your expectations as it means I will be able to tailor the lessons accordingly. We will then go through some simple postures movements and concepts that will introduce you to the practice and also allow me to observe your ability and see where you are at. We will need to have a good sized space to practice in, preferably free from distractions (other people/phone calls etc). If you have a mat that’s great, if not I can bring a spare for you to use. For beginners I mainly teach Hatha Yoga (holding traditional poses with correct bodily alignment and breath) with the idea that it will lead to Vinyasa or Ashtanga (a more free flowing style moving from posture to posture) as you progress in the practice.
I really love teaching private lessons and hope to be able to guide you in your Yoga practice.
