Astrid has been practicing Yoga for 25 years. She has used Yoga in her own healing journey from Breast Cancer and Yoga has become a way of living.
Trained at the Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales she uses breathing (Pranayama), postures (Asanas) and meditation amongst other techniques in her classes making self-discovery easily accessible for beginners and experienced students. Classes allow for re-juvenation and re-energising in a relaxed and safe environment.
Astrid teaches Mindful Yoga bringing together the easily accessible concepts of Mindfulness and the ancient techniques of Hatha Yoga, both paths are designed to help purify mind and body to reach a state of awareness to be conscious in us and all that is.
Astrid offers individual and group classes geared towards general well being or overcoming specific health issues from anxiety to degenerative diseases. Astrid also teaches her own children with a view to bringing Yoga to schools.
Acceptance, allowing oneself and others to be and fulfilling one's potential on every level, being connected yet expressing one's individuality brings a deep sense of contentment and happiness and cultivates a positive mind.
