Combining skills in teaching and coaching with her love of yoga, at age 60 Sheila quit her job and decided to train as a yoga teacher. Coming to this later in life she is particularly interested in reaching out to ‘women of a certain age’ who may, or may not, have previously tried yoga. She teaches vinyasa flow and yin yoga, often creating a yin / yang style class for balance and strength, and particularly enjoys teaching those with little, or no, previous experience, including ‘Introduction to yoga’ courses. Drawing on her personal experience of how yoga can help build physical strength and a peaceful mind, classes, courses and workshops are designed to create balance and positive change. In one-to-one sessions, coaching can be combined with yoga to create the opportunity to optimise the mind and body connection.
