About Yoga For All
Classes are structured to include: free functional movement – moving the body as freely as possible to regain/enhance mobility, strength and fluency of movement; breathing practices and relaxation/visualisation for both energising and relaxing body and mind. Students are invited and encouraged to explore physical and mental experience and sensation/response throughout and re-evaluate at the end of each one and a half hour session. All sessions are pay-as-you-go (no up-front fees).
Sally is British Wheel of Yoga qualified with 20 years teaching experience. Her interests lie in encouraging students to participate physically, mentally and emotionally without strain or tension arising. “It is important to notice the ‘felt’ or embodied experience as we move and engage with life – only through awareness can change occur and help us to inhabit our bodies, minds and emotions more comfortably. If we habitually push and strain (physically, mentally or emotionally) we are likely to gather tension which may manifest as pain or illness. By working attentively and learning through sensory ‘mapping’ we can gradually increase our range and comfort in, the physical, mental and emotional spheres.”
