Yoga for focus, yoga for happiness and peace.
Develop confidence, balance, strength and agility while creating space in your mind and flexibility in your body: welcome to Liberty Yoga. I aim to make my classes welcoming and accessible above all else. It's your body, your practice.
I have been practising yoga for over 20 years and have been teaching for over 2 years. I hold a 200-hour certification; my study was with Zen Buddhist Master, Daizan Roshi. I teach privately to teens and adults as well as teaching to the public in different venues. I also teach yoga as part of the social sports curriculum at King's Bruton, a day and boarding school.
Each class begins with a few minutes of mindfulness and body awareness.
Then we move on to a gentle flow to start with, with emphasis on breath, movement and feeling your way into the poses. Cues for alignment are given. We build into a stronger practice to warm the body. It can be challenging if you choose, but there is always plenty of opportunity to take the class at your own pace with options to do more or less.
Winter classes incorporate candlelight.
Classes are non-competitive and have a lovely sense of camaraderie.
£10 drop-in. Blocks of 4 classes are £35.
I have mats for rent for £1 if you don't have one.
Thanks for finding my listing!
*If you're completely new to yoga, you are most welcome. I also offer one-to-one classes if you prefer.
