At Yoga Avenue classes take place in a beautiful light filled studio at the bottom of my garden! Class sizes are deliberately kept small (8 max) to enable individual attention, gentle hands on adjusts and assists to ensure you gain the full benefit of your yoga practice.
Whether you are looking to let go of tension, establish calm and find more balance, increase your flexibility, build strength or deal with a specific health issue, a regular yoga practice can yield incredible benefits. Intelligent sequencing of alignment based asana and kriyas (physical poses and purifying exercises) are combined with pranayama - breathing techniques, interwoven with mudra (hand gestures), mantra and meditation (sound and stillness) and culminate in bliss filled relaxation (savasana) to enable you to begin to realise a centered, happier, healthier you.
Yoga Avenue offers integrated classes suitable for all levels - regardless of age, size or fitness. Alternative poses and modifications using specific props are offered throughout to really enable you to release, relax and enjoy in a friendly and nurturing environment. All equipment is provided although you are more than welcome to bring your own mat if you wish.
I am a 500 hour qualified Yoga Alliance certified SYT (Senior Yoga Teacher). I completed my 200 hour training with Bristol City Yoga in 2017 and at the beginning of 2019 graduated graduated in the 300 hour Advanced Vinyasa Flow training with the world renowned Claire Missingham in London. I teach tradtional, lineage based, Hatha Flow and Vinyasa Flow. My classes are infused with yogic philosophy and dharma. I strongly feel that yoga is so much more than physical poses and as such I aim to offer as authentic, enriching and joyful an experience as I possibly can.
