Carolyn is a yoga teacher and experienced mental health professional with a special interest in yoga for stress and emotional wellbeing. Courses and classes combine yoga, use of the breath, mindfulness meditation and enable a personalised tool kit to be built, laying the foundations for lasting change.
Flowing vinyasa classes are also taught which build strength, flexibility, balance, stamina and calm the mind.
Carolyn’s teaching is influenced by Sivananda Yoga for subtle mind and breath work, Ashtanga Yoga for heat, flexibility and stamina, Iyengar Yoga for alignment, and Hatha Yoga for theory, philosophy and classical asana. She has also undertaken specialist training in yoga for stress and burnout, yoga for addictions and is an experienced mental health professional.
Carolyn is a Sun Power Yoga certified teacher registered with Yoga Alliance and holds the YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga. She is also an experienced mental health professional who has worked at a senior level in the NHS and a Local Authority, is registered with the Health Professions Council and had her most recent DBS check in June 2018.
