Classes of 60 or 90 minutes.
In my yoga space, or at your home or work site.
The yoga I will teach you is not about achievement, it is about truly relaxing throughout your body and mind. You will feel good in your skin. You will bathe in a gentle internal peace.
You will also become more toned, flexible and strong, but the central aim is mental balance, physical wellness and attunment to your soul self.
I teach hatha yoga, and I adapt my teaching to your abilities and circumstances. You really do not need to particularly flexible or fit. You just need to be willing to breathe, and to learn to accept the body you are in. In this way uou will smoothly begin to unlock your mind and body, for that is what yoga does.
A typical class may include -
Breath : You will first become aware of your own breathing, then begin to deepen it. We may also do specific breath practices to achieve a particular end, such as to gain focus or to remove anxiety.
Postures and stretches to suit your body: Starting very gently, we will stretch revitalize, strengthen and create flexibility. The postures will remove deep tensions inside and out. You will feel renewed, younger, and over time, notice greatly increased wellness.
Relaxation : Blissful guided relaxation for your mind and bodyâ€¦ You can let go at last. (I am quite used to people falling asleep!)
Mindfulness and meditation: Leaving thoughts behind, you will be fully guided into the experiencing the profound peace of each present moment, which is the practice of mindfulness.
Or, I can support you to begin to meditate. There are many ways to do this, and between us we will find the one that really suits you.
Mantra: Mantra is using your voice and sacred words to bring you into harmony with your true self.
