I believe passionately that yoga is for everybody and that every student deserves to be offered options and alternatives appropriate to their individual bodies and level of experience. I have severe scoliosis and underwent spinal surgery as a teenager and originally turned to yoga to manage the chronic pain associated with the condition. I am interested in the therapeutic application of yoga and as well as teaching Hatha, Flow and Restorative, and Yoga for All, I specialise in teaching yoga for back care and yoga for scoliosis both 1:1 and in small group classes.
I have been practicing yoga for 20 years and completed my teacher training (200 hrs) with the prestigious Yogacampus (Yoga Alliance and International Yoga Network affiliated) after the birth of my first child.
My classes invite students to explore asana in a way that is appropriate to them with appropriate krama (building blocks), options, alternatives and modifications, weaving a varied practice that each student can make their own.
I have completed additional specialist training in teaching Yoga for Scoliosis, Yoga for hypermobility, Restorative Yoga and teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to Children.
I am also available for corporate classes and studio cover.
