Chris is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance.
Chris teaches Yoga and Pilates locally around the Market Drayton/Newcastle under Lyme/Stoke on Trent areas. Both Yoga and Pilates are forms of practice which focus on the union of breath, movement, and concentration. Classes can be for strengthening, mobility, flexibility, anxiety management, vigorous workouts and are suitable for all levels and all ages. Private tuition and small group sessions are also available.
Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility, and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The main components of yoga are self-discipline, postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility), concentration, breathing, meditation and self-awareness or growth.
There are no quick results in Yoga, there is no destination and no endpoint. The practice of
Yoga requires continuous, prolonged and regular practice to yield results. Yoga is a journey of physical, emotional and spiritual growth. It isn’t easy but it is immensely rewarding. There is pleasure in growth, and growth flows from practice.
Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasises proper postural alignment, core strength, and muscle balance. Pilates is named for its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed the exercises in the 1920s.

6.30-7.30pm Yoga, Broughton Parish Room - (Mixed ability, moderate)
8.30-9.30pm Yoga, Shapes, Fenton Manor Sports Complex - (Mixed ability, gentle)
7.45-8.45pm Pilates, Loggerheads - (Mixed ability, moderate to strong)
7-8.30pm Yoga, Fenton Manor Sports Complex - (Mixed ability, strong)
