The body is the cornerstone of awareness. Yoga is an inward process of self awareness which integrates breath, mind and body to encourage a sense of wholeness where we feel balanced and in harmony with ourselves. A form of physical mindfulness, yoga enables us to be attentive to our body and immerse ourselves in immediate experience reintegrating body and mind, attuning to our senses and refining our experiences. Mindful Yoga brings an observant approach to help you feel at ease with your body and mind. I have a professional background in contemporary dance and somatic based movement practices. Both of which I have been engaged with and taught for nearly 30 years. I originally trained professionally in contemporary dance at leading London conservatoire, the Laban Centre. It was here I first engaged with release based techniques and went on to develop my understanding further undertaking exploration of Feldenkrais and other somatic movement practices. I have also been a practising Buddhist for most of this time and am part of the Ipswich Buddhist Centre Sangha. I practice mindfulness mediation on a regular basis.
