Kundalini Yoga is available to everyone regardless of age, ability, size or flexibility and is perfect for complete beginners. Classes are friendly, relaxed and welcoming and held in a light-filled and tranquil studio in central Ipswich.
Each class is different and works on a specific aspect of the physical, mental, or emotional body. However, at the heart of Kundalini Yoga is a spiritual focus which and it is known as the Yoga of Awareness. Therefore, the majority of a Kundalini Yoga class is practiced with eyes closed. By drawing your senses inwards you connect with yourself and distractions are minimised. The class begins with a tune-in mantra followed by some warm-up postures. Then you will be guided through a kriya followed by a relaxation and a meditation. Yogi tea will be offered after each class.
A regular practice of Kundalini Yoga can be deeply transformative. You can expect increased flexibility and stamina, stronger vitality and energy, a calmer mind, more stable emotions, deep healing and a stronger connection to spirit.
