I have been practising yoga for 12 years and am delighted to now offer myself as a teacher.
Yoga is so much more than exercise on a mat and has the ability to change people’s lives dramatically both physically and emotionally. Through teaching a Vinyasa Flow style of yoga, which involves a beautiful and meditative rhythm alongside a commitment to the breath, I hope to guide my students gently and playfully into a better frame of mind and body that they can take with them into their every day lives.
In my classes I like to draw from the philosophy of yoga, which gives the practice a depth of understanding. At the same time, I stay down-to-earth and accessible to those who are new to the practice or want to use it for physical fitness. Either way, the heart of yoga is passionately reached and in so doing will both educate and empower my students.
Classes take place in a beautiful studio set amongst trees and surrounded by nature. I strongly believe that your environment reflects your state of mind, so by having a haven in which to practice I aim to provide an escape from our every day distractions and stresses. Even if it’s only for the short duration of a class I want my students to feel like they have been on a retreat where there is an opportunity to focus solely on themselves so they can leave inspired and energized.
