Yoga is a system that uses breath work and body movement to calm mental turbulence so that we can be at peace. Many people come to yoga primarily to keep their bodies fit, flexible, lean, functional and free from pain, and are pleasantly surprised to find they also experience respite from anxiety, stress and depression, weight loss and find they sleep much better.
Yoga is fairly intense physically, I teach flow sequences with music suitable for all abilities. Most students will say to me that they are nervous to come to yoga because they are not flexible, they cannot touch their toes, I teach yoga practice not performance, each person is unique in their ability and that’s my focus. My aim is that with regular instruction and commitment to a practice there will be noticeable improvements in strength, flexibility and well-being, if you touch your toes after a few sessions that is great but the journey getting down there is the fun part.
My training is broad based and eclectic, I believe that to be an effective teacher, you also need to be a student, always learning, hence I ensure that I regular attend workshops to keep myself fresh. I currently hold 2 diplomas in yoga, one with the British Wheel of Yoga and the other with Yoga Alliance .I am also a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals. I am First Aid trained and fully insured.
I am also the Bwy Surrey Rep bringing to surrey a variety of teachers and workshops for passionate yogis .
So come and explore yoga with me, as Dolly Patron said “We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust the sails
