About Luna Yoga

Yoga classes are gentle and safe for all women, whether you are new to yoga or have years of practice. A range of classes are offered in Monkseaton via a YogaBellies IYN (international Yoga Network) accredited instructor.

Luna Flow are gentle restorative classes for all ages and abilities, encouraging you to connect with yourself, rebalance, release, relax and regulate.

Yang CorePlay sessions are faster paced classes designed to build cores strength, increase stamina whilst using focused breath to find peace within.

Pregnancy classes help you prepare for birth through a combination of stretching, strengthening, relaxation, breathing techniques and positive affirmations. Suitable from 6 weeks gestation to birth.

Postnatal classes are tailored for the postpartum body, focusing on the BAP’s (back, abs and pelvic floor) rebuilding strength, stamina, suppleness and mobility whilst bonding with your baby.

About me: I am a chartered Physiotherapist who stumbled into YogaBellies whilst looking for something to allow a better work/life balance after having my darling twinnies in Sept 2014. I have practiced Yoga for sometime and decided to start training as a YogaBellies teacher, and all I can stay is Wow, I have loved the training and really enjoying meeting new people and building classes up.

Luna Flow Yoga – Thurs 9am, Monkseaton
Postnatal Mum and Baby Yoga – 10.30am, Monkseaton
One to one’s also available throughout North Tyneside

Classes are open to all women regardless of current yoga practice or experience. If you have any Pre-existing medical conditions or have had any serious problems during pregnancy, please run this past your GP before starting the class and discuss with your Yoga teacher.

Please don’t worry if you have never done yoga before, lots will be trying it for the first time and our classes are suitable for all levels.

Classes are advance-booked in blocks, a drop in fee may be available (depending on availability). The cost of your course includes a super duper YogaBellies online Pack specific to your chosen class, a tote bag, downloads including yoga videos to practice at home, discounts, local information, and Yang CorePlay and Luna Flow attendee’s will receive am aromatherapy roller ball to enhance their practice. You are not just booking a class, but a complete yoga journey.

When performed properly, yoga is safe for pregnant women and has benefits for everything from flexibility to cardiovascular health. Each of our Certified YogaBellies Teachers is a fully qualified perinatal yoga teacher trained extensively to work safely and therapeutically with pregnant and post natal women, so you know that you and your baby are in safe hands.

Wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing and bring a bottle of water, mats and props will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you’d prefer.
