About Nila Yoga UK

​About my class:

I predominantly teach Hatha flow both the gentle version and strong dynamic Hatha. I also teach Vinyasa, Yin, restorative and prenatal yoga.

I teach my regular yoga classes in my studio Nila Yoga and in Ansty Village Hall every Sunday morning for my regular students. I am also a cover teacher at Linear Fitness, Haywards Heath, where I teach Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, and Flow & Restore (an average of 3 or 7 classes or more per month). I also teach1-2-1, including prenatal 1-2-1 and mindfulness at work sessions 1-2-1.

About my qualifications:

I hold a 200 Hour qualification from Sophie Mills Training at Ditchling Yoga. I am a verified member of Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. I am certified and insured. I have experience working with a wide range of students and in my classes, I modify and vary the poses to suit individuals' needs and abilities.

300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training, Your Yoga Flow (Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative), CA, 2021 - present;

50 Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training, Your Yoga Flow, CA, 2021-present;
15 Hour Art of Chanting, Your Yoga Flow, CA, 2021-present;
15 Hour Anatomy of Breath, Your Yoga Flow, CA, 2021-present;
15 Hour Finding your Voice, Your Yoga Flow, CA, 2021-present.

About me:

I view yoga as an enabler for change: for strengthening, for physical recovery and for stabilising the mind. After suffering a bad skiing injury in 2011, I found my pathway to recovery through yoga. Yoga helped me through the one-year-long knee rehabilitation period and, supported by my practice of yoga. I have now incorporated my beloved running into my exercise regime once again. I competed in 10KM and runs 10K twice weekly. I ran my first half marathon in October 2021 and am preparing for my next Half and Full marathon.

My particular passion is to develop great techniques in all my students to benefit yoga practices to the fullest.
