About Hatha Yoga Classes

Do you want to feel more relaxed, stronger, more flexible, in tune with your body, more balanced? Have you wanted to join a yoga class before and felt intimidated to do so? I am offering relaxed, friendly Hatha Yoga classes for beginners and those who have practised some yoga before. The lesson will include strengthening, stretching and simple breathing exercises with a lovely relaxation at the end. Lessons will be easy to follow with modifications offered to suit each individual.

I have practised yoga for 30 years and believe it should be prescribed on the NHS for the gentle physical and mental benefits it can offer. I am Level 3 Diploma qualified and a member of REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals).

Please feel free to contact me for a chat if you have any questions about the class. The first taster session is free. I like to get to know my students and so do not usually offer drop-in sessions. Lessons cost £8 for 75 minutes and are sold in half-termly blocks or either 6 or 7 weeks depending on the schedule.

Lessons are currently on Tuesday at the Hurstpierpoint Village Centre at 9.45am and 11.15am. Term starts on September 15th and runs until December 15th.

The hall is very large and spacious allowing for plenty of space between the mats which I am ensuring are at least 2 metres apart. Numbers of students are limited to ensure social distancing. Special cleaning of handles and other areas will be carried out and sanitiser available.

If you have a mat and/or blocks, please bring them with you together with a blanket to keep you warm for relaxation.

Parking is free in the carpark opposite, but you do need to display a parking disc, available locally.

Caroline was very informative and really accommodated to all abilities (myself being a beginner!). The class was relaxed and I really enjoyed myself. Looking forward to next week!

I have been going to Caroline’s yoga since she started. The lessons are thorough in that your whole body gets a workout! They are also relaxed due to he very welcoming attitude. Caroline also makes sure she adapts to everyone’s individual needs.

I had been interested in taking up yoga for some time, but worried that my lack of flexibility and dodgy balance would mean that it wasn’t for me. Caroline made me feel welcome straight away and is careful to make sure everyone understands the poses and exercises and does them in the way that suits them best. It is a very friendly and inclusive class and I come away from the sessions feeling amazing. I would highly recommend Caroline’s classes.

I am so pleased I plucked up courage to go to Caroline’s yoga classes. She is so relaxed and welcoming so that it doesn’t matter if you haven’t tried yoga before. She is very knowledgeable and explains how the different stretches and poses are helping keep your body strong and supple.. I definitely feel physically better and also mentally more able to switch off and relax. I highly recommend these sessions.
