A soothing Hatha yoga class for all abilities! We begin with taking time focus on breathing and calming the mind, then continue to stretch and mobilise the body, exploring movement and postures. My teaching style is lighthearted and you can expect a laugh or two-yoga is about having fun too!
Hatha yoga focuses on alignment and is a great style to learn for beginners or more seasoned yogis who would like to focus on their technique. I ensure there are different variations of the poses for all levels and most poses can even be adapted to work around any injuries you may have. The Hatha Yoga postures and breathing techniques have been shown to help to remove toxins and purify the physical body, as well as lowering blood pressure. They also help to improve posture and spine/joint mobility, and increase bone density helping to improve overall fitness and core strength.
We close the practice in shavasana-total body and mind relaxation leaving you quiet and restful. I also offer an optional mini massage at the end of class to help you settle into your shavasana.
Wat to bring? Just bring yourself and remember to wear some comfy clothes. I provide mats but you may also wish to bring a blanket for the final relaxation.
