Malvern Hills Yoga have been running yoga retreats at the beautiful Clover Mill Ayurvedic Spa in Worcestershire for four years. The days are very popular and are the perfect way to relax, as you can enjoy a full day. All the one day retreat's are currently £75 and this includes lunch and afternoon cakes. It also includes an optional free session in the steam room.
The venue is simply stunning and its always joy for me to go back, its nestled in the Malvern Hills area of outstanding beauty. The mill has been lovingly restored and the grounds still have the original weir and growing number of very cute alpacas. The food is delicious, full of nutrients and where possibly it is locally sourced and homegrown. Julie is always happy to prepare the lunch to suit any dietary needs and the food is always vegetarian and quiet often gluten free. The yoga studio is at the top of the mill, with underfloor heating and the room is often flooded with sunlight.
A typical one-day yoga retreat will start with an uplifting yoga practice of around 2 hours. It really is suitable for everyone as its Hatha yoga and everyone goes at their own pace. We then stop for a light lunch and there is time to explore the grounds or join in the walk to the weir and visit the alpacas. After lunch it slows down and you spend the afternoon doing various relaxing yoga practices.
At the end of the day you are served healthy cakes and tea and have the option of a steam session. Ayurvedic Massages can be booked separately and I can advise on accommodation locally. There is a wonderful bed and breakfast up the road called Blue Ginger.
