Always wanted to try yoga but don’t know where or how to start? Maybe you are confused by all the jargon or too intimidated to jump in with all those bendy yogis at your local gym or studio.

Then this course is for you!!!

This 6 week 'Introduction to Yoga' is aimed at those with little or no previous experience. It will leave you feeling confident enough to participate in mixed ability group classes and perhaps even start some self practice of your own.  Led by two enthusiastic and experienced Yoga Alliance teachers, you will receive the individual attention necessary ensure you can explore the practice safely and at your own pace.

The course will include:

  • The Eight Limbs of Yoga and yoga philosophy
  • Asana (physical practice)
  • Pranayama (breathing techniques)
  • How to develop a regular yoga practice

Every Tuesday from 5th September - 17 October  (EXCEPT TUESDAY 26 SEPTEMBER WHERE WE BREAK FOR 1 WEEK!)

Yoga is for Everyone .... although my classes are challenging I cater for all levels from complete beginners to more advanced practitioners as postures are modified according to the level of experience, current strength and flexibility. Through correct technique and consistent yoga practice you will reap the incredible benefits of Yoga which include increased strength and flexibility, inner peace and calmness of mind and enhanced concentration and focus.

I am often asked what 'type' of yoga I teach. Whilst I do teach some pure Ashtanga classes, I believe that despite all the different types and styles,  names and fads, ultimately Yoga is Yoga!  I teach 'asana' (physical postures) incorporating 'pranayama' (breathing techniques) and philosophy. I am RYT-200 qualified and have studied with various teachers including David Swenson, Sianna Sherman, Dylan Werner.

Yoga is my passion and a way of life, having practiced for over 15 years. I have also trained in tae kwondo, ju jitsu and dance.

Opening Times: Every Wednesday 6.45pm -7.45pm - Level 1 (Beginners) - drop in £12 or 5 for £50
Every Wednesday 8pm - 9.15pm - Level 2 (Intermediate) - drop in £12 or 5 for £50

I love going to Laura’s classes, they are fun and she knows how to keep challenging you. Laura is an excellent teacher, she is knowledgeable and breaks down poses so that they become achievable step by step. Her classes have really improved my strength and my confidence in my practice.

I joined Laura’s beginners class in February with no previous Yoga experience, and after completing a course of 6 introductory weekly lessons, I signed up for more lessons immediately. Laura shows great patience as you are learning and gradually builds you up every week by adding new techniques and skills. After 4 months my injuries have gone and my strength and flexibility have improved massively.
Laura’s class are relaxed but very very focussed too, and just as I think I’ve mastered a technique, Laura is quick to demonstrate and encourage us to progress further with more complex techniques.

After my very first lesson with Laura I was absolutely hooked. What an absolutely fantastic teacher, and also a total inspiration. She manages to motivate everyone in the class, regardless as to their ability, and she challenges us all to practice yoga with real intention. I’ve noticed my strength and flexibility improve considerably, and even on one class a week, I still feel the fantastic benefits of going to her classes. I always look forward to her class!

Laura’s classes are brilliant – she really does cater to everyone’s level, right from beginner through to advanced, e.g. poses I had previously only seen in photos (I am convinced Laura could balance on only one of her fingers, if she wanted to:). She is super professional, yet approachable, so the classes are relaxed and fun. There are no egos on show in her class rooms!

Whether you are looking to better your technique or simply get a thorough work out, I would highly recommend Laura’s classes. Have fun!

Literally can’t get enough of Laura’s classes. Laura has made me feel so welcome since I started just a few months ago. She has given me the confidence to try things I never thought I would. Both my body and mind are now feeling so much better than before I started the sessions so for that I will be forever grateful! 🙏🏻😊
