INTRODUCTION TO YOGA - NEW 6 WEEK COURSE STARTS 5 SEPTEMBER
Always wanted to try yoga but don’t know where or how to start? Maybe you are confused by all the jargon or too intimidated to jump in with all those bendy yogis at your local gym or studio.
Then this course is for you!!!
This 6 week 'Introduction to Yoga' is aimed at those with little or no previous experience. It will leave you feeling confident enough to participate in mixed ability group classes and perhaps even start some self practice of your own. Led by two enthusiastic and experienced Yoga Alliance teachers, you will receive the individual attention necessary ensure you can explore the practice safely and at your own pace.
The course will include:
- The Eight Limbs of Yoga and yoga philosophy
- Asana (physical practice)
- Pranayama (breathing techniques)
- How to develop a regular yoga practice
Every Tuesday from 5th September - 17 October (EXCEPT TUESDAY 26 SEPTEMBER WHERE WE BREAK FOR 1 WEEK!)

Yoga is for Everyone .... although my classes are challenging I cater for all levels from complete beginners to more advanced practitioners as postures are modified according to the level of experience, current strength and flexibility. Through correct technique and consistent yoga practice you will reap the incredible benefits of Yoga which include increased strength and flexibility, inner peace and calmness of mind and enhanced concentration and focus.
I am often asked what 'type' of yoga I teach. Whilst I do teach some pure Ashtanga classes, I believe that despite all the different types and styles, names and fads, ultimately Yoga is Yoga! I teach 'asana' (physical postures) incorporating 'pranayama' (breathing techniques) and philosophy. I am RYT-200 qualified and have studied with various teachers including David Swenson, Sianna Sherman, Dylan Werner.
Yoga is my passion and a way of life, having practiced for over 15 years. I have also trained in tae kwondo, ju jitsu and dance.
