WildYogis
Yoga Teacher in Polegate, East Sussex
Monday 9.15 am & Wednesday 5.45pm – Wannock Village Hall
Tuesday 6pm & Thursday 9.15am* & 10.30am – Jevington Village Hall
*advanced level class
All classes last one hour
Wildyogis classes are different because I tailor each one depending on who is in the room. I draw on years of my own practice, teaching and study of anatomy to help you move in the best way for your body. The classes are a mixture of yoga style movement & poses, strength work & flexibility. Years working with a physiotherapist means that I specialise in helping people regain good functional & sustainable movement… All with a WILDYOGIS sense of fun & jolliness thrown in
Apart from my Thursday 9.15am class, which is more advanced, all of my classes are suitable for any level from beginner upwards. During the class I offer alternative postures and progressive movements, depending on what is going on for you. My small classes and ability to adapt to your needs mean you’ll get individual attention, but if you want even more individual attention; I provide 1:1 classes at my serene home studio in Jevington.
I also offer workshops, Friday Night Rest Club and online rest club and retreats to some WILDLIFE-tastic places…

I have been going to Jo’s yoga classes for about 8 months now and I love them! Jo is soooo knowledgeable and the classes are great fun!! I also recently experienced Jo’s Thai Yoga Massage – I haven’t had a massage in over 30 years – my body felt like an old piece of teak which was being oiled for the first time in years, I soaked it up and will certainly be back for more – Wonderful!!
Jo is a wonderful teacher, who makes it easy and FUN to learn from! She is very knowledgeable and has a holistic and intuitive approach working with clients. Your goal becomes her priority – in a single conversation, a yoga class or a whole retreat!
The best yoga teacher I’ve ever had, also incredible venue with infra red sauna and massage available couldn’t recommend jo enough
Jo has a beautiful warm way about her that immediately makes you feel comfortable, I have recently had a Thai Yoga Massage and found huge benefits in my day to day movement and practice, I have suffered with pain down my right side for some time and this has vastly improved symptoms. I also enjoy Jos Yoga and Nidra classes which are always carefully thought through and prepared with interesting facts and well-being practices. I would highly recommend Wildyogi’s.
My husband and myself reluctantly joined a class because my son had bought us a course as a Christmas present. I really did not want to go. I have never been agile and that doesn’t improve in your 60s! What a revelation. Jo’s classes create a safe environment for you to achieve the best you can without stress. So very enjoyable and undoubtedly beneficial health-wise. Just wish I had come across her gentle yoga years ago – but it’s never too late!
Jo is a great teacher and very down to earth. She’s a really good motivator and will have you laughing as well as practicing. Get down to Jevington and experience!
Another fabulous Master Class this weekend. I love the relaxed atmosphere and gentle way Jo teaches. Also attend her weekly class in Pulborough Village Hall everyone welcome and it has become an essential part of my week, learning how to keep life in balance as well as getting my body stronger and more flexible.
Where shall I start? Jo has been and IS a true inspiration. I’m a tricky customer… given that my body is broken(!!) but when I come out of a workshop with Jo I can move, I’m calm and feel ready to take on the day. Not only is her approach relaxed, it’s informative too… I’ve learnt to love myself a little more. It’s always such a treat to be in a yoga class with Jo… the happy vibes continue well past the end of the session.
You are a facilitator of happiness! Thank you so much xx
Recently attended Jo’s workshop Fight, Flight or Freeze – Brilliant as usual! Jo is a great teacher. I never knew there are so many amazing things happening in my body ! Thoroughly enjoyed the theory and the great yoga session and not forgetting the exceptional quality snacks!
I found Jo on Yogahub 4 months ago and what a perfect match for what I was looking for! I have several long-term conditions and post surgical complications that had left my body very stiff and seized-up. Jo was extremely responsive to my initial enquiry and following a chat about my requirements I was totally reassured that joining a gentle class was right for me. It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to maintain my commitment to any kind of physical practice. Jo is a fantastic teacher, and supports all of us to get the most from the class regardless of our skill level. By far the best thing about Jo is her totally down-to-earth and often humorous manner but still manages to keep us all focussed and demonstrates professionalism in her own inimitable way. There is a very special quality that she brings to her teaching that always leaves me feeling uplifted and I always come away from class feeling buoyant and relaxed.
I have been attending Jo’s yoga classes for over two years now along with my husband. She is a sympathetic teacher and her classes are always fun. Neither of us had done any yoga before and she has encouraged us to explore our ability. She always takes the time to explain the theory behind the moves and gives fresh insights.
I’ve been attending Jo’s Jevington class for several months now and thoroughly enjoy the sessions – they’re an oasis in the week! She is so thorough and informative, friendly and helpful and always has time to answer any questions. I feel I am learning a lot more about my own body.
Jo is a lovely and caring teacher who is continually exploring yoga herself so she can pass on the very best practice to us through her classes. I’m feeling the benefits. Highly recommended!
Jo is an absolute diamond ,great Yoga teacher ,has time for everyone cannot praise her enough .thanks joe.

Jo has a unique and special style of teaching. She is warm, calm, funny, friendly and welcoming, all attributes of a great teacher. Jo is “hands-on” to your individual needs, and always ensures you are doing yoga correctly, thus avoiding any injuries. I love her classes, they are fun and feed the mind, body and soul.. Thank you Jo. x
I love Jo’s yoga classes. She’s a wonderful teacher and her classes are not only great for the body, but the mind too. You can go at your own pace, everything is very well explained and if you have any particular issues, Jo will address these individually. Look forward to the class every week, I’m always glad I went. Runs some amazing workshops too!
Jo is an amazing yoga teacher. Her classes are really fun, friendly and completely tailored to individual needs and ability. I thoroughly look forward to my weekly class and would go every day if I could! I can’t recommend highly enough.
Jo has been teaching us yoga every week for over a year now. Jo is an absolutely brilliant teacher and very patient and helpful if one member of our small group is struggling with a certain position. I look forward to each session as I always feel really good, relaxed and calm.
Jo has been teaching a group of 4 of us (50s to early 70s) for over a year now and we love it. With her well selected and wonderfully delivered sessions we are all on our way to being transformed – well almost! The classes are informative and fun, great for strength, flexibility and breathing – with individual attention to personal weaknesses, aches and pains. Thoroughly recommended!
I haven’t done any yoga for a few years so I was very happy to find Jo’s class. I love it; Jo makes sure you are doing the positions correctly and you can go at your own pace.
It is a very friendly class.
My husband really enjoys it too , especially the relaxation at the end, in which he invariably falls to sleep.
