I love the way in which Jacqui gently encourages us to relax into a pose. I have practiced yoga for many years but yin yoga is something special as it very gently stretches the muscles and the fascia easing me into places I have never reached in more strenuous poses of other yoga styles. It is a gentle, meditative style. Jacqui gives us all the time we need to find the position that we need. I have really benefited from Jacqui’s classes in spite of really struggling with my energy levels. She has a very empathic way of working. I always feel more energised, stronger and more relaxed after a class.
Jacqui’s class is a recipe for those who want to enjoy yoga with a meditative, quiet, peaceful time where you know your mind and body are working in harmony. I have practiced yoga for years but I finally feel that I’ve found the right teacher and method now as I age needing more emphasis on stretching the connective tissue. I finally know the true meaning of ‘relaxing into the pose’ because Jacqui knows exactly where support is needed to do just that with her various support equipment she has available. Thank you Jacqui.
I have been attending the class with Jacqui for approx 18 months and the benefits are amazing. I am so much more flexible, relaxed and now do not suffer at all from fatigue. I highly recommend it.
I highly recommend Jacqui Johnston, not only for her skills and knowledge of Yin Yoga, but also for her ability as a teacher to help students benefit from her classes, regardless of their state of fitness or physical limitations. She has all the right attributes as a teacher because she not only has the expertise in the therapy she is teaching, but she is also very caring and sensitive to her students’ individual needs. And I can vouch for the fact as one of her students that her classes are not only very therapeutic, but also enjoyable, with a spirit of comradely that will make any new student welcome and feel at home.
