Carrie has been practising yoga for over 4 years and is a qualified Sivanada Hatha Yoga teacher holding a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga with Yoga Professionals in association with YMCA Fitness Industry Training, London. This has enabled her to offer a varied practice that will be accessible to all levels, from beginners to those with more experience. The Sivananda Hatha yoga practice includes focus on breathing (Pranayama), relaxation which will calm the mind, a sequence of Sun salutations (Surya Namaskara) and postures (asanas) focusing on strength, posture and balance.

Carrie first started practising Yoga to calm her mind and body and noticed the physical benefits, toning, strengthening, improved flexibility and balance which in turn helped her to feel more energised and gave her an increased enjoyment of life.
Carrie’s main aim is to “share her love of yoga with others and guide them through an enjoyable and mindful practice, to unite others in the room and invite them to turn their thoughts inwards from the outside, to let thoughts disperse whilst on the mat, promoting calmness and an improved sense of wellbeing. A sense of freedom from self-judgement and a focus to be right here, right now in the present moment”.

Hatha yoga is a powerful tool for self-transformation. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment.
