Welcome to The Gift of Yoga - Therapeutic yoga for all taught in my beautiful, purpose built yoga studio in the Marlings Park area of Chislehurst.
I teach small classes, a maximum of 9 students, enabling me to focus on each student individually using empathy and understanding, and recognising that we each have unique abilities and needs. I adapt classes to accommodate the individual needs of students making yoga accessible to all irrespective of age, health or circumstances.
Although my style is based on Hatha yoga, I place a strong emphasis on precise alignment, mixed with principles of pilates and the Alexander technique, improving posture and encouraging students’ self-awareness. I also draw upon my many years experience as a massage therapist and clinical understanding of the body, mind and spirit to help my students optimise their health and well-being.
Yoga really is the best gift you can give yourself, improving your health in every way. A regular yoga practice can bring numerous benefits both physically and mentally. The practice of yoga is a process of self-discovery. Using the physical body and the breath as a starting point, physical postures (asanas) unleash a cascade of internal chemical responses, providing relief from countless physical and psychological ailments, strengthening the body, restoring balance and flexibility, enhancing self-confidence, and creating vitality, well-being and inner contentment. Yoga offers many gifts.
