About Yoga with Zara
Namaste,
I specialise in Ashtanga, Power and Vinyasa yoga - expect to break a sweat! However, I also teach gentle seated styles of yoga such as yin and chair yoga (suitable for seniors and pregnant women). During the past 5 years that I have been teaching yoga, I have worked with Sweaty Betty, I’ve been published in the Om Yoga Journal, I’ve supported Yoga with Adrienne at Alexandra Palace, and I work in various studios/gyms across London.
I am passionate about body work: strengthening, balancing, stretching and building up stamina. I’m fascinated by kinesiology and calisthenics, and the interconnection of body and mind. As a teacher, I am mindful of the ever-changing nature of the human body as well as the musculoskeletal differences from one person to the next. I guide, align, assist without judgement so that you can honour the space that your body is in; be it pregnancy, injury, illness or need for relaxation. I provide an atmosphere where people can practice safely, whilst also giving students the courage to challenge themselves and progress in their practice.
I’m interested in using my expertise to show you how yoga can become an integral part of your physical and mental well being - from noticeably improved posture, less bodily aches and pains, to using the tools of meditation as a form of cognitive behavioural therapy to reduce stress and anxiety.
I graduated with a 200hr Ashtanga-Vinyasa certification in 2017, a Rocket Yoga qualification in 2021. I also have an LLB in Law, and an MSc in Psychology.
