We support hackney Yoga project which provides yoga and meditation and community for refugees: survivors of torture, human trafficking and war. WE raise funds to pay for travel, without which they simply cannot get to the classes.
The by donation classes also benefit the less well off in the community, sharing the gift of yoga with all. These are on sundays from 4.30-5.30, followed by a chance to meet and talk with class mates.
We also enjoy the sunday bustle and livliness of the flower market which has been in existence for 200 years. the studio throws its dorrs open to artists and fashion designers from the local area, and we show and sell their beautiful work.
Every month we have a kirtan, which is a rare chance to chant in the ancient language of sanskrit.
We are not religious, but we enjoy and respect all traditions and beliefs, and offer the gifts of union within the rich and ancient tradition of yoga.
WE also hire the space for appropriate workshops and events.
