Welcome to Radiate Yoga! My name is Suzy and I have been practicing yoga since 1993 and completed my Hatha Yoga Teacher Training RYT200 in 2018. I believe yoga offers us an opportunity to come into a different relationship with our minds and bodies both on and off the mat; connecting us to the present moment and cultivating compassion towards ourselves and others. I am a qualified Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Teacher and weave the foundations of mindfulness practice throughout my classes. I believe yoga is truly for every body and my classes are inclusive and empowering.
I offer one-to-one and group-based yoga and mindfulness classes in North Hampshire and Surrey. I am delighted to be launching Sunday evening classes at the Yoga Room in Blackwater from the 15th April 2018.
Sunday 6.30-7.30pm: Mindful hatha flow classes (£7)
My hatha yoga classes incorporate elements of mindfulness and flow to provide an all-round body and mind experience. Every class features physical asanas to create strength and flexibility, breathing exercises and pranayama to develop awareness, and relaxation to cultivate stillness. Each class is based on a theme (e.g. compassion, strength, wisdom) to help ground our practice.
Sunday 7.30-8.15pm: Yoga Nidra classes (£5) Yoga Nidra is often described as ‘yogic sleep’ or the state of altered consciousness between sleep and wakefulness. Yoga Nidra is an incredibly powerful form of relaxation, which has proven benefits in reducing anxiety and stress, activating our parasympathetic nervous system and promoting well-being. Our class together will start with some gentle stretches before we travel into a candle-lit ‘yogic sleep’, followed by chocolate, nuts and herbal teas.
