I first met Sandi 4 years ago and have been a student of hers since then. Sandi teaches Scaravelli-inspired yoga which is an exploratory style of yoga, emphasizing comfort and freedom of movement, rather than execution of the perfect pose. She is an engaging teacher whose warmth enables her to connect with everyone. Don’t expect Vinyasa flows or anything too strenuous. This type of yoga is dynamic, though, and works on the mind, nervous system and emotional body as well as our physical, muscular structure.
The Scaravelli inspired class with Sandy is wonderful. It is gentle and relaxing but it also works the muscles deeply. The stiffness I have in my lower back is usually gone by the end of the class. Sandy provides clear guidance and feedback throughout. I love that there is no right or wrong way to do this yoga, it is about working with what is right for your body. Caiti
