Katie’s professional yoga path started when she met her teacher, Steve Harrison in 2010. Taking the 200-hour teacher training in 2011 with Steve, on what she now realises to be a life long journey of learning, she went on to study advanced yoga based around the sanskrit texts, then deep meditation and pranayama (breath awareness) techniques, kriya meditation and chakra work.

Fascinated by how yoga affects all of us not only physically but emotionally and intelligently, she subsequently studied yoga therapy for the treatment of ptsd, chronic anxiety and stress.

Prior to taking her yoga teacher’s training Katie worked as a private chef all around the world, cooking for high profile clients and professional sportspeople. Yoga profoundly influenced her cooking style and outlook – nowadays all her food revolves around nutritious, delicious and health-giving dishes that respect the environment.  She now combines her two great passions in offering yoga brunch, and soon yoga supper events.

Katie teaches a flowing form of vinyasa yoga, working through series of asana (poses) to gently open the body, combined with pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra.

Combining Katie’s love for teaching yoga alongside her years of experience as a professional nutrition chef, she now hosts yoga brunch weekend sessions in  Winchester and Romsey, Hampshire.  A 75 minute vinyasa flow class, suitable for all levels, is followed by a seasonal, organic nutrition-based 3 course brunch, to feed body and soul. These popular mini-retreats are held in idyllic locations, with lovely music, flowers, and table decorations.  They are a great opportunity to meet fellow yogis and make new friends.

She runs weekly vinyasa flow beginner courses and group classes in central Romsey, Hampshire on Thursday evenings.
