About Sandgate Yoga Lodge
Monday to Friday 9.30-10.30am, 1hour yoga practice where emphasis is always on breath, gentle movement for whole body and healthy mind. All levels very welcome so we can share, learn and grow together.
This is our theme and framework which we will explore, build upon and learn about. The class starts with movement of the physical body known as ‘asana’, then taking 10 minutes breathing exercise, called ‘pranayama’ and finishing with 10 minutes meditation.
The 3 parts of each class make it balanced, wholesome and complete. I teach with emphasis on listening to your own breath, tuning into the senses and taking time to be present (practicing patience and recognizing patterns within). If you are looking to gather strength, find calm, peace or be courageous and explore, this new and intriguing ‘Foundation and Freedom’ Yoga journey will serve you well.
Apart from the public classes I also teach private in peoples home/beach /park or for groups in the work place. I have a termly schedule in place and there are at times opening spaces. If you have the desire – you can learn and practice yoga, any age, any physical ailments as your practice should be adjusted in each individual person for their well-being on the day. Location Information
Parking is 2 hours anywhere in Sandgate or you can park with no restrictions on seafront towards Hythe. Just 3 minutes walk at the end of the Coastguard Cottages is a long seafront road free of charge.
Please see map here for exact location. The M20 is easy coming off at exit 12 signposted Cheriton. Take 2nd exit then turn right to come down Horn Street, turn right at the bottom of the hill and travel for 1 mile into Sandgate village.
Bus stops are easily located just 2 mins from our front gate that arrive from both directions.
Folkestone West train station or Folkestone Central train station are 20 minutes walking or £5 in taxi.
