I am so pleased to have found and joined one of Gary’s groups. As an elderly returner, after covid I needed to find a new group. This group was easy and comfortable to settle in to. The structure of the session is easy to follow, I know I could be stretched, but equally I can feel comfortable at my own pace. I always feel that I’m working safely. A real pleasure.
Gary is an experienced and informative yoga teacher. I’ve attended his face-to-face classes for many years and more recently his online classes which are just as good.
I would recommend trying out one of his classes
I’m not the most experienced in yoga practice and started Gary’s classes about a year ago thinking I must do something to help with flexibility and strength as I get older. I do feel less creaky as a result and think I’m improving thanks to some great attentive tuition. I’ve found the classes have a good balance of friendliness with focus. It’s been particularly helpful to be given alternatives when some of the positions are more challenging and I feel I am in safe hands with someone who is passionate about all aspects of yoga.
Gary is a great teacher.
I started out with him as a beginner with only a little bit of experience in late 2018.
He is excellent at giving helpful live instruction to get the most out of each asana and very easy to follow when learning new ones.
I enjoy the transition in each session from the physical element to the pranayama (breathwork), which really rounds off the practice.
I feel much better in myself both physically and mentally when I’m regularly attending Gary’s classes, and would highly recommend his classes.
Great yoga class – online is very handy if you cannot make it in person. Suitable for all types including middle aged runners trying to keep injury free
Excellent instruction
I have been attending Gary’s yoga classes at our workplace for quite a few years now. These continued online throughout Covid, but we are now enjoying classes back in the office which is lovely.
There are a number of reasons why I continue with yoga with Gary, in no particular order:
• Teaching – Gary has an excellent background with groups of mixed ability, and always makes sure that the class is suitable for all. Those who want more of a challenge can continue to progress, while those just starting out or with particular health issues are also fully supported and don’t feel they are holding back the class. Gary makes yoga accessible.
• Enhances & adds balance to my fitness routine – this is an excellent way of getting more stretching and a gentler form of exercise which then helps me to improve in other activities that I do (gym, running, cycling).
• Convenience – what is more convenient than walking across the office to the class bang on 5:30pm! I’m still home in good time, feeling virtuous!
• Meditation – the chance to just stop and breathe, and focus purely on myself for an hour mid-week is invaluable. I always come away feeling more relaxed and ready to face the next day.
• Value for money – Gary’s classes are good value for money, and there is the opportunity to flex to another class where you have paid for a block booking and can’t attend a session that week.
I found Gary’s class after having twins, wanting to try and get back some of my core strength. I was then, and continue to be, amazed at how he caters for all abilities. From absolute beginners, never having tried yoga, to older veterans of the class, everyone is made to feel welcome and as challenged as they want to be. I love Gary’s classes, they offer the perfect combination of strength building postures and traditional meditation. During Covid, I tried Gary’s online classes, which are also brilliant and are easy to fit in around a busy daily routine. I would highly recommend these classes to everyone.
I have been practicing yoga with Gary for 5 years. Gary is a very experienced teacher and makes everything very easy to understand.
His on line classes during Covid were a great way of keeping up your practice during difficult times and I still enjoy these if I can;t make a class.
I would definitely recommend.
I have done yoga for many years , but stopped when I moved to Bristol three years ago .
I started with Gary privately for four lessons and joined his classes on Friday and Monday.
His instructions are clear and he is very attentive to make sure that the movements are done correctly.
I really enjoy these classes and would highly recommend it
After 12 years of doing no yoga at all I came across Gary’s online and in person classes. They are excellent. I recommend them very highly.
.I now attend Gary’s classes weekly and they are sacrosanct in my diary.
My husband and I have also tried Gary’s online classes. Gary has been very welcoming of my children and the dog and skillfully enabled us to fully engage with the yoga despite the distractions in the house!
.
Garys in-person classes are friendly and inclusive of everyone; men women and young people from beginners to those who have practiced for many years as well as those with a disability.
Highly recommended.
I have been attending Gary’s yoga classes, for the last 18 years! He is a very experienced teacher. The class starts with a flow series as a warm up, leading into a full body workout with a meditation period at the end, to quieten the mind.
Gary’s class lends itself to online teaching as well, because he gives excellent verbal instruction, you don’t need to look at the screen. Yoga and meditation in the comfort of your own home!
I have no hesitation in recommending Garys classes.
